The Health Care Supply Association promotes the work of supply chain staff at all levels, arranges training events and seminars, organises and sponsors educational awards and hosts and promotes a high-profile annual conference.

The main business of the Association is conducted by a Council consisting of branch representatives plus the officers of the association, e.g. Chairman, Executive Director and Treasurer etc. The Council meets a minimum of four times a year and is responsible for the administration of the Association, for encouraging high professional standards and the organising and provision of training at national and local levels.

The Health Care Supply Association is affiliated with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).

Membership is open to all persons employed in the purchasing and supply within - the NHS, the outsourced NHS supply chain, related Government bodies and in private healthcare services.
